Hospitals participating in the AHA RACTrac program provide data to the AHA on a quarterly basis to assess the significance of the Medicare RAC program for hospitals. The AHA will use this information to identify regional and national trends in claim denials and appeals. These facts will enable the AHA, State, Metro, and Regional Hospital Associations to educate health care providers, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Congress on the true impact of RAC audits and the provisions that need to be amended.
